Re-Vote 2011 in Trento/Italy

Once more I will have the opportunity to travel to the beautiful city of Trento/Italy later this summer. This time I have been asked to give the opening keynote to the "International Workshop on Requirements Engineering for Electronic Voting Systems" on 29 August 2011.

If you're interested to submit a paper - the deadline for submission has been extended until 8 June 2011. So still time to come up with something! :-)

ODIHR turns Twenty!

The Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights is celebrating its 20th anniversary today!

Electronic Democracy

Colleagues from the Democratization department will organize this year's Human Dimension Seminar in Warsaw. One session will deal with electronic democracy on the 20 May 2011. I'm very excited to see my new office discuss a topic that has been close to my heart for so many years.

Find more about the seminar here.

PS: On Tuesday, the day before the seminar, our new office building will be officially opened ...

actually ...

... talked Francais during the weekend. Parfait :-)

Settling in, Blogging

wow, quite some time has passed :-)

Made my flat look a bit comfortable, could improve, though.

Recently I started to blog again at http://electionupdates.caltech.edu, I will try to focus on new developments in the field of elections (including what's new at our office and the field of new voting technologies). so stay tuned!

Socializing

I still have a rather limited set of furniture in my apartment. However I start to settle in further. I was at DIPS, a meeting of expats working in international organizations and at embassies. Was fine to meet really nice people there. Luckily no pictures ;-)

This weekend I will drive my car up to Warsaw and next week it is IKEA shopping then ...

moved in!

so yesterday my life as a stranded voyager has ended. I moved into my new appartment in lovely Saska Kępa (yes it's on the OTHER side of the wisla river ;-)). maybe will post some pics later. So I'm getting settled in Warsaw!

Change happens

Today I cleaned my office desk, packed my stuff and left E-Voting.CC.

My successor Manuel Kripp will take over now and I'm ready now for my new challenge!

Looking forward to this and I'll keep you posted how it's moving forward.

Thanks to everybody who supported me in the past!
